The government intend to introduce a race relation act. RRA is brought in to prevent race discrimination in Malayisa. It prohibits discrimination on the ground of race, colour, nationality, ethnic and national origin in the fields of employment education and public functions. The act is to promote race equality and formulate procedures to prevent race discrimination.
Effects :
· Entry into higher learning is based on merit and quotas is abolished.
· Every company can apply to treasury irrespective of shareholders.
· Every company can be registered as contractors irrespective of race or status.
· Everyone can approved permits.
· Government scholarships will be given based on merit and no reserves.
· Promotion in government departments is based on merit.
